Transferring my site to Yahoo site builder?

I recently paid for a geocites website and I noticed that you can download yahoo site builder and pretty much just transfer your site over to that. I’m worried that if I do transfer it, I won’t like it as much as what I have right now.

Questions: Are you able to create photo albums?
Can you design your own banner at the top?

If anyone has used site builder… Could you please let me know if the pros and cons to it?

Thank you! =D

One Response to “Transferring my site to Yahoo site builder?”

  1. Mantrid says:

You should probably ask this question in the Yahoo Products section, we programmers don’t use site builders for a number of reasons.

First reason being we can program, so we don’t have to.

Second reason- how do you get your website back out of Yahoo? Sounds like they’ll lock you in to their format and you’ll be forever paying them money. It’s not in their interest for people to leave Yahoo!

I would recommend getting a real web hosting package and use a free content management system (CMS) that belongs to you, rather than Yahoo’s CMS which they own.
