I completely redid it. I think it looks better, but would like your feedback.
I’m using Yahoo Site Builder, have used front page in the past, but this is pretty simple and I want to keep the site basic without any whistles and bells.
The things I would like to know are these:
#1 is the site initially appealing?
#2 is it easy to understand?
#3 are the instructions easy to understand for downloading?
#4 are the terms of use easy to understand?
Also, does anyone know of a way of having the files downloaded as a “file” instead of having to build a web page to do it. What I want to happen, is if someone downloads a file, that the file dialog box opens and with this software, it doesn’t happen. I have to build a page for each photo.
And anything else that stands out or doesn’t.
The site is young, nowhere near what I want it to be in the future, nevertheless, getting some constructive feedback and suggestions would help.

As a professional Web Designer, i suggest
You just text input what you want, the the program will encode it directly as an HTML
You can actually put all your pics in pdf format which is most easiest and fastest.
You should modify the width a little since we have to scroll to see it . In either case, this software Coffeecup software can do it in the blink of an eye.
The site is nice but a little confusing…But you are definitely on the right track. Some people tend to put too much and the eye loses the essence of the web page.
The terms of agreement should stand out in a bigger format and sort of, hiding a bit of the web page. This waym they have to click on :”Agree” to close the box and view your site.
yes to #’s 1, 2, & 4
sorry I didn’t try to download so I can’t answer # 3
I really enjoyed your pictures
Lovely photos. Thank you for sharing these with us.
Jim this is a very brave move on your part and I wish you all the best.
I am not sure what’s happening in the Stock Industry at the moment. I’m not active or involved at the moment. I have heard things are not great and people are not very happy.
I may just do similar to yourself. A year or so back I investigated Copy Left as an option for some of my own images but didn’t make a decision.
1. The site is very appealing visually.
2. The instructions are easy to understand.
3. Downloading was simple I right clicked on the picture of the hands and asked it to download to iPhoto. This seemed to happen seamlessly and quickly.
4. The terms of use are easy to understand.
I didn’t try the Pay Pal link. Perhaps someone else will comment on that. I am not going to use this image, I downloaded to give you feedback. If I do use it however I’ll make a donation.
I’ll keep watching your site.
The site is good!
The photos are lovely.
Just one thing. Generally, a webpage should have no more than 3 font variations (i.e. either by size, type of font and colour of font). =)
I will check it out in the future too. Looking forward to seeing more photos. =)
Hi Jim, this is a BIG improvement on your last site. I love that there is still no flash or anything fancy slowing it down. And your best images are now on display straight away. Your photos are lovely and make me want to see China. I’m no constructive critic, lol. Hey – but where did the blogs go? It would be nice maybe to be able to read some of your stories and observations behind the photos. Good luck with the site development and everything. Cheers
Edit – Ah, yes, the Terms of Use… excellent ideology. On my grandfather’s farm, he would leave pumpkins and fruit on a table by the side of the road with a tin can for honour system payment. It worked then. I hope it works now. You’re a truly good artist.
